H............back to my normal days again. We had Halloween party for the children yesterday. They were in fabulous costumes of everykind. The parents were very good to bring in healthy but creative and seasonal treats at my request. The faries had such fun dancing to the music, which reminds me of Jo's birthday party when she was 8 or 9. Even the little boy fairy - Seth, had fun. the older girls couldn't get over his costume. But he was very adament that's what he wanted to be, like his older sister. Often, he wants to do her level of work seriously. The other day, he recited his memory verse Phillipian 2:14,15 to me in such lightening speed that I had to refer to my Bible to find out what he said.

Talked to Margaret in the weekend. Nicole had finished her Montessori training and is now working in Kitchener. It would be interesting to see how her work unfold. I remember she was a very artsy kid. It would be so nice if she could run her own Montessori school in the country someday with the benefit of the farm attached. Poor Ryan, finished his study in journalism and still has'nt landed on a full time job, no car to drive. Wonder if he would like to teach oversea?
It was a tiring Thursday and Friday during the Montessori weekend conference because my feet were doing the complaining going up and down those stairs umteen times. I seemed to get along very well with the vendors and gave them what they want within boundary. Most of them did well with their business. Pat from B.C. Playthings was admirable. He either has terex sydrome or muscular degenerative disease. He brought in 50 or more boxes of materials all on his own. Unpacked, laid out and packed them again with great difficulty. Yet he didn't make one complain of anything. He probably didn't do as well as he liked to because his materials are not Montessori, but he still says he is satisfied. I missed out on the key note speaker but I did attended two very good workshops - 'How to think like Leonardo da Vinci' and 'Music Therapy'.

Saturday was a treat, no more work. Just sat and feasted on David Bouchard's talk. It was funny and soul wakening. Other than the 'hail' of literature, he stresses that it is not what we are doing that counts, it is why we are doing it. So glad Jo enjoyed him too.

That turkey cannot hold us hostage anymore, we decided to abandon it for Thanksgiving! The four of us ended up having a good time at the resturant after all these years. Isn't it more precious than running around a feather friend on a platter?

My life is in a different kind of busyness now. Sometimes I do wish I can slow down but I enjoyed everything I do, from School to Chiness Alpha to dance class. Montessori Conference is coming up next week, a whole weekend event. Hope I will be able to get along with those vendors that I am in charge of. The committee members are sure a bunch of sweeties. They even had a birthday cake for me at the last meeting. No one really cares if I am not an AMI anymore. They accept me as is. I look forward to share the conference with Jo.
