Having lived in the city for alsmost two decades, it was still my first time to experienc the Japanese cherry blossom. The cherry trees in our area are pretty too. But they are very thick and heavily laden with blossom. The ones in downtown are much lighter and airier. However, their branches spread out much farther and give one the feeling that one is totally enveloped inside them, like the Suger Plum fairies in the Nutcracker's ballet.

I saw the massive blossom along the river bank in Japan on TV. It is so remarkably impressive, as if the whole sky is powder pink. I think we definitely should grow more of them through out the city. They remind us the blissful beauty and goodness of life.

After seeing the magnificent display in downtown. I started to notice the same kind of tree here and there in my neighborhood. But they do not stand out as beautiful. It is because they are planted in the wrong places
and in the wrong way. Such as, on a busy tree with heavy traffic and not grouping together. Such scenerio
happens when people do the same thing but getting vast different results because they have not consider
their plans from many different angles or points of view.
