A Baptism with incident - Who would think anything could go wrong with something so straight
forward? Jared has lots of experience in camping. They packed their things neatly into the truck
already on Saturday, just to enjoy the rest of the day with no harzzle. Yet God allowed Satan to try to stop the meaningful event in their lives. Tasha was hit three times by a big log on her head and back. But God is God, nothing can stop him to carry out his good will toward His children. Though our noses were out of joints a bit. We spent the rest of the day in and out of clinics. Tasha was able to walk out of it at the end of the day. (We had to stop the car on the way back to town for she felt like throwing up. I learned afterwards that it would be a very bad sign for head injury. Thank God, she didn't end up doing it. We prayed for her in the car. The brave girl asked her friend to sing hymns with her and she talked all the way to keep herself awake though she could hardly open her jaws because of pain.)
On the other hand, Jared had a chance to learn to put priority in the right place, to put away his own agenda and to stay with Tasha the whole day. I do not think it would honor God or be a good testimony if he leave her side and be baptised. It is more important in God's eyes that he loves his wife and willing to forsake his own agenda as Christ loves his church and gave himself up for her. That is one big blessing that will affect their lives in the future.
The next day, pastor Paul preached about the Word of God liking it to a double edged sword.
Skillful use of this sword could certainly fight off the many darts which Satan aims at us.
A beautiful verse came into my mind:
I Corinthian 2:9
No eyes have seen.
No ears have heard.
What God has prepared for those who love Him.
