It was a tiring Thursday and Friday during the Montessori weekend conference because my feet were doing the complaining going up and down those stairs umteen times. I seemed to get along very well with the vendors and gave them what they want within boundary. Most of them did well with their business. Pat from B.C. Playthings was admirable. He either has terex sydrome or muscular degenerative disease. He brought in 50 or more boxes of materials all on his own. Unpacked, laid out and packed them again with great difficulty. Yet he didn't make one complain of anything. He probably didn't do as well as he liked to because his materials are not Montessori, but he still says he is satisfied. I missed out on the key note speaker but I did attended two very good workshops - 'How to think like Leonardo da Vinci' and 'Music Therapy'.
Saturday was a treat, no more work. Just sat and feasted on David Bouchard's talk. It was funny and soul wakening. Other than the 'hail' of literature, he stresses that it is not what we are doing that counts, it is why we are doing it. So glad Jo enjoyed him too.
